Diana Noble, Owner/Broker
It was over 15 years ago that local entrepreneur Diana Noble ventured into the great unknown by taking a chance on changing her whole life to move to Fort McMurray with her now husband Patrick. Little did she know the opportunities that would lie before her.
For the first several years, she worked as a Senior Paralegal for local law firm Campbell & Cooper, which groomed her to become the businesswoman she is today. Throughout the course of her employment, she pursued an opportunity to utilize her journalism background and became a freelance writer for The Connect. Aside from these two positions, she spent her evenings and weekends delivering legal documents (process serving) for the side business owned by the law firm, and when the firm decided to shut down this side business, she saw an opportunity to become a business owner and jumped on it. Within four days, she incorporated her own business to serve legal documents, and Noble Services Inc. was born.
Diana continued to work full time for the law firm and run her business during lunch hours, evenings and weekends for another couple of years before she decided to pursue a career in real estate. She undertook all of her courses to become a licensed REALTOR® and eventually left her position at the law firm to run her business full time and finish her education. It was during this break that she began freelancing for snapd Wood Buffalo before becoming fully licensed in April 2013. She began working as REALTOR® with Meyers Management Consulting Group and shortly into her career she started the journey to becoming a real estate Broker so she could one day open her own brokerage.
By November 2013, another opportunity fell into her lap to purchase snapd Wood Buffalo and in January 2014 she officially took over as Publisher. This opportunity was like a dream come true as she had a passion for journalism since high school, and now without finishing her college diploma, she was the owner of a local publication – an opportunity that likely would have never been available had she lived anywhere else.
For the next year, Diana continued her studies to become a real estate Broker, and in April 2015 she brought a new real estate franchise to Fort McMurray when she opened her own Brokerage, Seller Direct Fort McMurray now known as Seller Direct Northern Homes Realty. She was able to recruit an amazing team of REALTORS® who shared her vision for providing clients with options and flexibility when it comes to selling their homes. Through this venture, she has sponsored a number of local events for non-profit organizations and continues to look for ways to give back.
Diana has volunteered in a variety of ways throughout the community since first moving here nearly a decade ago. She was a business advisor for the Junior Achievement program for several years, inspiring youth to become entrepreneurs. She lent her time as a board member for one term with the Canadian Mental Health Association, as well as the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce and currently sits on the Fort McMurray Real Estate Board. For the past several years, she has facilitated a workshop on entrepreneurship for the Justin Slade Youth Foundation’s “No Limits Youth Empowerment Day.” She has participated in Small Business Week for the Fort McMurray Chamber of Commerce facilitating sessions on business marketing, and her business snapd Wood Buffalo was nominated for Micro Business of the Year for the Chamber Awards in 2015. She also sat on the Land Planning and Development Advisory Committee in 2015/2016 with respect to the downtown redevelopment plan. She now quadruples as an ICF Certified High Performance Business Coach with her company Noble Choice Coaching Ltd. Through Coaching, she is also able to keep her REALTORS® motivated, inspired, and fosters an environment of teamwork and continuous learning & growth.
On a more personal note, Diana and her husband Patrick Noble have been together for 18+ years and had a very different life in Ontario, barely making ends meet and frequently choosing between paying rent and buying food. Fort McMurray gave them both the opportunity to change their lives around for the better. Diana had a special role in helping raise her step-daughter Bryce, and her and her husband are now blessed with a son of their own, Jaylen.
